Pros

Salaried pay was decent, not good, just decent.

Cons

Awful work life balance. Promises made at hiring that were not kept. Management was a mess. No support from your manager when dealing with membership. Whatever the members wanted, happened, no matter the financial ramifications. This led to awful budgeting. Management will appease members to a fault, and then blame you for not standing up to them. Management is sneaky, doing things behind your back, They are not open and honest. They will spread rumors about you among staff and membership before and after you leave. Pay is garbage for hourly. They are not willing to pay for good talent, so you're left with a cesspool to choose from. Every time I had an idea to fix an issue, I was told to put it off until end of season, leaving members feeling ignored. Way to many membership committees, so many chiefs, not enough Indians. Managment is too secretive, sprinting changes of open hours, new menus, etc without warning. Absolutely no training. No one knew what they were doing. Tried multiple times to implement training, always was derailed by managment Zero accountability among staff or managment. Absolutely ZERO communication.

Pros

At the time, I was working overnight at a condominium, and the quiet environment gave me the opportunity to focus on my schoolwork since there was very little activity throughout the building. The team I worked with was incredible, they made me feel like I was part of a family, which made the job even more enjoyable and rewarding.

Cons

Working the graveyard shift can significantly affect a person's sleep schedule and overall sleep quality.

Pros

Great company culture with strong core values and a collaborative environment. As a remote employee, the flexibility and work-life balance are a huge plus. The IT environment is also very dynamic — there are multiple systems, platforms, and technologies in use, so the work rarely feels repetitive or boring. The company is supportive of employee growth and development, offering training opportunities and access to a large online learning library. Another positive sign is the number of long-term employees; many people have been with the company for 5+ years, which says a lot about overall employee satisfaction and stability.

Cons

The company frequently changes business processes and technologies. While innovation is good, it can sometimes feel like just when you’ve fully mastered a system or workflow, a new tool or process is introduced. Workload can also fluctuate depending on business initiatives and project demands. Because it’s a large organization, there are a lot of layers of leadership — supervisors, managers, directors, VPs, etc. At times, it can be unclear who the correct point of contact or decision-maker is for certain situations.
