Pros

- Young atmosphere if you’re in the NYC office, semi-decent happy hours - Fun culture, two annual parties - Decent way to get into the NYC property management industry - Technology isn’t bad - HR does the best they can to keep people happy (with limited resources for the most part)

Cons

- Pay. Raises are once a year at annual review and will yield a MAX of 2-3%. There have been years with no increases. If by some miracle you manage to get an off-cycle raise, expect a 3-5 month wait. (One poor girl waited 6 before she finally left.) It has to be signed off on by a handful of extremely busy higher-ups that will drag their feet on the matter until they tear the carpet. - No bonuses for non-property management personnel. - Benefits are sub-par. They like to say that they match 6% on a 401(k). They do not. They match 4% on your first 6% (a max of 2.4%). - Turnover is horrendous. Payroll team has ONE person on it that’s been there longer than a year. (For reference, it’s a team of 7 including the Manager.) - Bought the Financial Management team a lunch of pizza and wings in an indirect and pathetic attempt to address wild turnover. Pay a bonus. We’ll use that and buy our own pizza and wings.

Pros

At the time, I was working overnight at a condominium, and the quiet environment gave me the opportunity to focus on my schoolwork since there was very little activity throughout the building. The team I worked with was incredible, they made me feel like I was part of a family, which made the job even more enjoyable and rewarding.

Cons

Working the graveyard shift can significantly affect a person's sleep schedule and overall sleep quality.

Pros

Great company culture with strong core values and a collaborative environment. As a remote employee, the flexibility and work-life balance are a huge plus. The IT environment is also very dynamic — there are multiple systems, platforms, and technologies in use, so the work rarely feels repetitive or boring. The company is supportive of employee growth and development, offering training opportunities and access to a large online learning library. Another positive sign is the number of long-term employees; many people have been with the company for 5+ years, which says a lot about overall employee satisfaction and stability.

Cons

The company frequently changes business processes and technologies. While innovation is good, it can sometimes feel like just when you’ve fully mastered a system or workflow, a new tool or process is introduced. Workload can also fluctuate depending on business initiatives and project demands. Because it’s a large organization, there are a lot of layers of leadership — supervisors, managers, directors, VPs, etc. At times, it can be unclear who the correct point of contact or decision-maker is for certain situations.
