Pros

- RBT certification prep is a part of paid training - Opportunities to move up as a lead, more paid training - Can set your own availability as long as you work with scheduling appropriately - Supportive coworkers and management - Variety of settings to work with children and families in (center-based, schools, homes, sometimes home and school sessions may require collaboration with STs, OTs, PTs, which is a plus!)

Cons

- Covering others' sessions was sometimes tough when there was no rapport built with the child and their family. It can feel defeating at times, but it happens to everyone at some point.

Pros

1 dollar bonus after completing ~300 clinical hours

Cons

Not much support for new RBTs; de-escalation techniques learned on the job after earning certification, rather than during training. 1 dollar bonus is advertised as something earned automatically after completing 3 months on the job, but is actually only earned after completing 300 clinical hours.
