Pros
Base salary Stock options (they’re kind of a real but they give you stocks)
Cons
Mandatory oncall (payment is really low) Mandatory office days (they check if your badge was used or not) Target points per week (in which a point should be equivalent to a day of working) They track your commits on git People working when on vacations and it seems normal! Stupid procedures such as “feature flag ceremony” in which you enable your features in prod in the presence of a group of people that know nothing of what has been done and needs to happen in a stupid schedule. Maintenance Windows to deploy services do production In summary there’s a lot of processes in place to castrate a developer, never been through so many obstacles to put something to prod and these stupid metrics only lead into people either add more points to the tickets or commit unnecessary stuff to look good on the reports rather than focusing on the real problems.
