Pros

Health benefits. That's really all I can think of. Oh and I guess good snacks and cold brew in the kitchen?

Cons

Flagship boasts an incredibly toxic work culture. They talk ad nauseam about attracting "diverse" talent but the company itself has nothing in place to support the diverse talent they already have. I was told by a c-Level Partner once that I don't dress "feminine enough" and that I should "throw on some lipstick" to look more presentable. I do not know in what world that is in any way acceptable as that was never part of my job description nor can it be. There is no balance between life and work and you are constantly encouraged (honestly pressed) to sacrifice your life and your personal needs. From the weird food-obsessed/fat-phobic culture of cooler-talks around the office, to multiple racist remarks, to unclear work expectations and then reviews that leave you blindsided, I highly highly do not recommend Flagship to anyone looking for a healthy work culture. And I especially do not recommend Flagship or really any of its companies to Black employees. It took me years to process how awfully I was treated and to find the words to adequately express that here and even then, I feel I'm leaving out so much. The managers micro-manage, there is such a level of nepotism that you just have to turn a blind eye to. I got verbally chewed out for days for rejecting a fellow who, mind you, did poorly on multiple interviews and received negative feedback because he was in some way related or connected to the CEO. That was my last straw before I quit. I am so glad I left. Do your self a favor and steer clear. Flagship does not care, at least not in my time there, to correct any of these red flags which, in my opinion, is the worst offense of all. They are quick to jump down your throat any time you voice a concern.

Pros

A tremendous place to grow and work with collaborative and smart people. You are encouraged to experiment regardless of what team you are on. Pay is also great!

Cons

Some days are tough, we move fast, but that's better than staying complacent.

Pros

Really good summer fellowship, learned a lot. Nice benefits (free meals, activities etc)

Cons

Expected to work really hard. Most days at least 12-14 hours. Given the illusion of scientific freedom but then pigeon holed back into more narrow focus.
