Pros

-Potential for high commissions -Growth through acquisition instead of innovation is still growth, I guess -With that said I genuinely can't think of any others **that aren't already standard at every other company**

Cons

-Heavy priority on "management" instead of "leadership" -Lots of buzzwords on being a great organization, no actual proof of it in the day-to-day operations -Relentless focus on irrelevant metrics resulting in -Misaligned commission incentives vs. company goals -Forecasting seems more highly valued than actual selling -Highest turnover rate I can ever remember seeing -Total lack of respect for management amongst employees in private conversations -Backed by Private Equity -Draconian travel policy (pre-covid) for everyone (except top leadership of course) -Managers have an incredible lack of sophisticated understanding of their own complex products

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear your experience at Flexera wasn't a positive one. We have, in the past two years, implemented Leadership and Management tracks to help develop our talent. Candidly, yes, we do hold our teams accountable and leverage metrics, which is in line with one of our core values #keepscore. Our attrition rates are actually below the industry benchmark, but I do appreciate that our culture may not be for everyone. Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback. We take all of the comments seriously and use it as a way to understand where we need to improve.

Pros

Great people, great culture and pretty good work life balance. Salary is competitive and benefits are good (not great). They also have a fully remote business model that helps with work life balance. If your in a couple areas you can go into the office if you want to however.

Cons

Some fragmentation in the business makes driving positive outcomes more difficult then it should be. A little bit of a feeling that you have to justify your existence, nothing too severe, but it does add to some anxiety about job security.

Thank you for this. Glad the culture, people, and remote flexibility are resonating. The point about fragmentation and job security anxiety is heard. That feeling should not be part of the day to day experience and we are paying attention to it. Your suggestion on bringing SMEs into QBRs is a good one. Decisions are better when the people closest to the work have a voice. We appreciate you taking the time to be that specific and will share this internally.

Pros

Good remote working options are available

Cons

Direct leadership frequently used 1:1 meetings to discuss personal matters rather than tracking project timelines, yet would later blame subordinates when timelines slipped. It was an incredibly uncomfortable environment where it felt impossible to succeed. Good ideas would be implemented and well-received by others, but direct management would find something negative to focus on, like claiming it took too long Communication from direct management was passive-aggressive and often crossed professional boundaries. The language used in team settings was frequently inappropriate, including the use of highly offensive, derogatory language disguised as jokes. I was uncomfortable most of the time I worked there.
