Pros

There are lot of very good and talented people at Flexera.

Cons

Absolutely horrible management. There are many problems at Flexera, glaring ones, but that's not unusual at any company. What stands out at Flexera is that 99% of those problem are at the upper management level. There are a few good leaders there, but the vast majority are only interested in protecting and promoting their inner circle (i.e., the ones who stroke their egos). None of them are open to honest feedback, even though the company pretends to pride itself on candor. In my career I've only worked for one other company that was a worse experience than Flexera. They both have one thing in common though, and that is Private Equity.

It's never a good thing when I see one star. It is disappointing because we strive for greatness at Flexera and pride ourselves on our culture. Candor is a core value, and I am disappointed to hear that you didn't feel that was reflected in your experience. We regularly act based on feedback we receive, and we have learned a lot and altered how we operate based on lessons from our acquisitions. I appreciate that Private Equity ownership isn't for everyone, but we are proud to be PE-owned and backed and have been highly profitable for over fifteen years. I wish you the best of success in your next chapter.

Pros

I am part of an amazing team at Flexera and I love what I do! The peace of mind and flexibility the company offers, I have not seen it anywhere else! I am valued and empowered in the work I do and my contributions I bring to the table.

Cons

Lack of training programs, mentoring, or clear pathways for internal promotion.

Pros

Good remote working options are available

Cons

Direct leadership frequently used 1:1 meetings to discuss personal matters rather than tracking project timelines, yet would later blame subordinates when timelines slipped. It was an incredibly uncomfortable environment where it felt impossible to succeed. Good ideas would be implemented and well-received by others, but direct management would find something negative to focus on, like claiming it took too long Communication from direct management was passive-aggressive and often crossed professional boundaries. The language used in team settings was frequently inappropriate, including the use of highly offensive, derogatory language disguised as jokes. I was uncomfortable most of the time I worked there.
