Pros
Interesting work High turnover so you get to meet a lot of people
Cons
When I worked at Flexport the bro culture was pervasive with the entire leadership team being comprised of middle aged white men and a single male of color. Ryan Peterson is a megalomaniac who surrounds himself with yes men. He preaches about his most important job being that of maintaining the culture of the company. Very fitting that the culture bred by a megalomaniac results in a sociopathic hunger games style working environment where leaders tend to be willing to throw anyone and everyone under the bus to try and get ahead. It’s laughable to think that this company has a serious chance of reaching an IPO based on its financial position, but speaks to the delusions of grandeur. You are nothing compared to innovators like Coinbase, Stripe etc. You don’t have to look far (read some Glassdoor reviews) to realize Flexport is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. You are not a tech company if for every $ of revenue you have to add a $ of headcount. Although based on the recent reviews it looks like they are trying to change their economics, by under hiring and over working some poor jr level operations folks. Do yourself a favor and skip the interview.
