Pros
Decent office (pre-COVID) Decent salary level and bonus Good perks, swag, lunches, parties The idea behind the company is exciting
Cons
Company has an identity crisis and attracts bright young amateurs Compliance and ethics are literally no factor at all - anything goes and advice is highly discouraged or stonewalled HR launches initiative after initiative - the newest fad counts - but reward cycles are badly broken Management is purely marketing focused - they talk the lingo but beyond the concept of a 40-foot container moving from A to B, they are lost Although a "tech company" by name, backoffice is shockingly manual Services are being offered as highly/fully automated and digitized but fed mostly by key-entry Lack of professional knowledge is rewarded as long as the client is happy, negative P&L really doesn't matter Slick talk is appreciated way more than common sense - as long as you speak in 21st century jargon you're good No real carrier prospects beyond empty but great-sounding positions with low-level labor (i.e. "Global Customs Associate": brokerage clerk) Diversity in name only. Amsterdam office is shockingly white and mostly male
