Pros
Scrappy do it yourself and figure it out culture Fun fraternity culture (this is a con for D&I and productivity reasons but if you’re looking for a play hard and make it up as you go culture this place is for you) Coolest design/illustration/brand of any freight forwarder Great PR team, they can sell mistakes as success to any media outlet Best lunches in the office and huge snack selection If you can fake it and push hard enough you can climb the latter here pretty easily
Cons
The tech stack is very manual “man behind the curtain” with continuous turnover in engineering that makes it impossible for the technology to really become automated or intelligent If you’re accepting a job offer at a VP level or higher, don’t intend on staying for more than 11 months. Executives are frequently used as scapegoats and are laid off frequently. The CEO isn’t sure how to appropriately allocate resources. Is this a freight forwarding company? A technology company? A customs broker? A children’s book company? A private airfreight company? The values and OKRs are constantly changing. Diversity and inclusion practices are put on individuals to figure out instead of upper management. Upper management is constantly scheming to save money while burning capital at the same time. There isn’t a very transparent culture. One of the offices was put up to be leased and it became public information before the employees that worked out of that office were informed.
