Pros

*Ownership. You are going to own products big time. Developers have a lot of say in product design itself. *Learning Opportunities. Still rolling out solutions like multi-dc setup which would help you learn and become a more complete engineer.

Cons

*Work life balance. You would be expected to work even on weekends quite frequently. *No enforcement of processes. This would vary team to team, but high development rate leads to tech debt which is rarely repaid. Also, no standard CI/CD means much more time goes into deployment and monitoring it afterwards. *Competency framework not followed during promotions/aprraisals.

Pros

1. The tech stack you get to work at Flipkart is probably one of the best in the country. 2. You get to work on microservices while also staying close to the infra. 3. The tech stack varies from team to team but in general, good tech is used in each org.

Cons

1. At times, work-life balance takes a major hit, commonly a few weeks before the sale events when there is deployment freeze and even the smallest of deployments have to go thorugh a large chain of approvals.
