Pros
There are some good programs, and there are some isolated bright spots, e.g. some middle of the road programs have some very good professors. Although it is not a top tier school, it has everything you need.
Cons
There are some mediocre programs. Basic funding of science departments is lacking; they relay on grants to prop themselves up. Since not all departments have superstars like Chemistry does, they suffer.
