Pros
I already knew the campus and the culture of the University, so there wasn't a learning curve in that regard. Support staff has a regular schedule and decent benefits, however, all that has changed even in the few years I've been here.
Cons
As support staff, there's not a lot of opportunity for growth. That being said, it's a relatively stable/secure job in a city where the state government seems to be cutting jobs right and left.
