Demand a lot from you with little given back in return. Your performance does not scale with your compensation - politics and luck is involved. Pay is lower than competitors even in the same city. Traders get the majority of the pot and CTO is a former trader with zero experience in software and zero leadership qualities. The level of micro management has been increasing in recent years, with more and more layers being added between developers and the management board. A depressing environment at the moment with management mentioning cost cutting every meeting and rumours of layoffs making rounds. There is already a shortage of developers so expect workload to increase even further and work-life-balance to take a further hit.
