Pros
I've been at Fluxergy for 7 years and its been a place thats allowed to experience significant growth in my career. I started at Fluxergy as an applications scientist focusing on developing our lab testing technologies and starting early conversations with potential customers to understand what is needed in various markets. This transitioned into helping to drive the sales and marketing with our initial products and has now turned into being given partial ownership of strategy for how we approach the key veterinary and human markets. What's been great along the way is the diverse team that is at Fluxergy comprising of very technical, experienced, youth, entrepreneurial, creative, regulation-related, and multi-industry experiences. Problems are solved by committee and they have to be due to the intersectionality of the challenges we have to overcome. When I speak to ownership, the Fluxergy team is lean such that each team member gets a broad set ofresponsibilities. Its really as much as you want to take on and creativity, as long as its within reason, is encouraged. Lastly the founding and executive team are very understanding about what you want to accomplish. Compared to other companies, the ability to speak openly at Fluxergy about ever changing life needs or goals is always an option and Fluxergy from my persepctive has always been fair as long as the communication was fair from my side.
Cons
A con of working at Fluxergy could be the lack of big corporate structure and the startup culture. I think the pace of Fluxergy and the diverse set of projects is something that can rub people the wrong way if its not the right environment. Deadlines can result in significant hours being put in but that is part of being at a growth stage company.
