Pros

Aesthetically the property is beautiful.

Cons

Management will ask you to do things that go against fair housing. Manager is prejudiced. If an applicant decides to cancel the manager will not cancel them right away and updated availability, instead will hold off so on paper it looks as though goals are being met or goals are being exceeded. This helps her receive an extra bonus. Managers shark leases/prospects but will have you do majority of the work for move ins. Management will create fake applicants to hold units for certain people. They will close the office for longer periods of time and close it on some Sundays when they are suppose to be open. Corporate has no idea. Management will advise prospects with pets to buy their ESA letters offline instead of obtaining the correct documentation that is needed. Will some future residents to pick up keys early and others she will say no to. It all depends on how she feels about the person or family. The most toxic work environment both mangers will cuss at you. Not a professional place of business. HR, Corporate, & Regionals are all out of state, there's no one in leadership to go to about issues that are occurring.

Pros

Most of the people at the executive level and corporate office are “good”, well-intentioned folks. Pay is fair.

Cons

There is a disconnect between corporate and the rank-and-file (onsite) employees. Onsite employees receive zero input on decisions that affect them. It feels like every new blanket policy is designed by people who haven’t been onsite for years (or left it for a reason!) and the policies solve an imaginary problem or small problem specific to only a few properties, which results in ALL onsite employees being burdened with more meaningless tasks to do. A prime example is the new maintenance training modules that force well-qualified maintenance guys to waste hours completing a mandatory course on how to use a multi-meter, when they already know how to use one and have a backlog of 70 service requests to complete. On top of that, Fogelman’s software and web-based tools do the opposite of what technology is supposed to do: They make administrative tasks longer and the onsite teams less productive.
