Pros

They will give you a lot more hours if you can deliver the goods meaning showing enthusiasm, willing to work hard, being on point on what to do for starters. You have to prove that you have what it takes to succeed bad enough to reap the awards to make decent money by getting more hours such as being a full-timer.

Cons

I on a personal basis is constantly stuck by myself ALONE numerous times between 4 to up to 6 hours tops until another co-worker starts he/she shift! It seems that everybody have at least one or more person working with them but not me of course not. Why is it because I'm a veteran employee that is still working longer than everyone else including the manager to boot. It put more pressure on me and it feels like working like a chicken with its head cut off doing everything by yourself mainly that I can't stand doing at all on the first day of the week every week which I dread the most. And most importantly that's truly not right or fair whatsoever for a part-timer to go through this just because to me it seems like most people don't want to work with me or not for long at a department. Like the old saying goes THERE'S NO I IN TEAM and it should be TEAM work for everyone not HARD work for one co-worker and not others! It seems that my store is cursed and when people first set foot inside they wish that they bypassed the supermarket altogether. I heard on several occasion that it's very stressful working at the store, no concrete direction to go by with the company, they hate being in there with a passion and so on. Workers have asked for a transfer to another store or department just to escape hell & misery there, gotten themselves transferred or quit without proper notice (no call no show) for instance just to escape, and is happiest being anywhere else instead of at the store I'm at now! There used to be 18 workers at my department at one time about 4 years ago but now there's only 9 now. But it's so hard to get replacements for the employees that already left that it leave pressure on the remaining workers that's left behind. For some reason every other week employees are constantly being hired mostly as cashiers, some hot food or deli departments, produce etcetera, NOT BAKERY so look the other way when you approach with extreme caution at best or regret it if you don't!
