Pros
Lots of flexibility in making your work your own Working around other incredibly talented engineers is great, especially for a young engineer. Most of the more experienced engineers are more than happy to take the time to provide constructive feedback People are truly passionate about developing a great product here. It makes the work being done even more enjoyable knowing that Interesting and challenging work. Excellence is definitely demanded at Formlabs, and it means diving deep into many different types of technical challenges. Some people have said that upper movement is hard at Formlabs, I've found that to be quite the opposite. Without having a strict title structure, eg Engineer I, II, etc, people aren't really given promotions in the traditional sense. At least with engineers, in the 2 years I've been here, doing good work will result in the Formlabs equivalent of a promotion - more responsibility and pay to recognize it.
Cons
Technical decisions can be made quickly, without very effective dissemination of that knowledge to relevant people Management is changing the way things are structured, which is good, putting this in the cons because it needed to and the effects of change haven't really been seen yet People are great at pointing out the flaws in work being done. Not everyone does this in a way that people appreciate Pay is slightly below standard
