Commission structure is crazy - Territory Sales Manager Formlabs Employee Review

Dear Reviewer, Thank you for your feedback regarding our company. All feedback, positive or negative, helps us build a better work environment here at Formlabs and our goal is always to invest in our people, because at the end of the day our people are our best assets and investment. I will agree, that the compensation sheets were definitely tough to navigate in the past. When I came on board, I thought the same thing. But because of employee feedback we have made them much more streamlined and easier to understand. In addition, compensation across the Sales teams have gone up on average 36% due in large part to this kind of feedback, employee feedback and benchmarking across the industry. To the reviewers' other comments, I can empathize. There have definitely been some growing pains as we have grown from a start up to an international company. But we have hired experienced senior leadership across the company in the last 12 months to help implement more processes and improve the overall experience of all our employees and we have seen improvement in many areas company wide. Sales roles by nature are high velocity. Every sales person is responsible to hit a target, but we also understand there are highs and lows to every month and quarter and try to provide coaching and support to make everyone successful. We have had an extremely high individual attainment rate in the last 12 months. Last month, overall sales rep achievement to quota was 92%, so I feel that as a company and a team we are heading in the right direction. While no company will meet all the expectations of every employee, I think Formlabs has come a long way to becoming a place that people really want to work. I think that shows by the long tenure of many of the people on my team. To the reviewer, if you would like to reach out to me directly, I would be happy to look into what happend with your final payout. That sounds strange to me, and I would like to understand what and why that happened and what was committed to you.
