Pros
My work is rewarding, the clients are delightful, my coworkers are brilliant.
Cons
Forrester has relied heavily on its "great culture" to make up for the lack of competitive pay for years. This has been true until recently. Sherri Kottmann's exit and the addition of Chris Finn has created a significant shift in the employee experience that focuses more on maximizing our stock price and less on treating employees like they matter. This has reduced the level of transparency from executives, created an us vs them mentality from leadership, and makes it apparent that employee experience is no longer a priority. Pay is always an issue, one resolutely ignored by leadership. For the second time, amid layoffs, promotions and raises have been put on hold - negatively impacting the careers of Forresterites and effectively giving us a paycut. Recently, the CEO has reneged on his promise of Work From Anywhere Forever and gave two weeks notice that a return to office 2 days a week was expected. This felt like a major blow to our culture and eroded any remaining trust I had in our executive team.
