Pros

The only pro is the people in my team, everyone is extremely dedicated, professional, smart, nice, and easy to work with.

Cons

I don't need to mention again the below average pay, frozen promotions & raises, and miserly benefits - plenty of reviews here for that. Exec team says they are "not lost in the woods", sure, you are drowning your face in this puddle of "we are stronger than ever", "make Forrester from good to great", eww, it cringes for me to even think of these slogans. Apparently the high level execs just love their company strategy that might fit better the 2000s, company meetings are just rich whites bragging about their vacations and opening up champagne while hard working people get flushed - or should I use your term "restructuring that includes elimination of 150 positions, that will help grow and retain talent". The layoffs? Literally 50 seconds of plain, cold announcement, and that's it, they shovel you out of their doorstep as if you are some kind of pest, no matter your years or performance. There was no time to wrap up projects or handover properly, no conversation between any manager, no relocation offers, just leaving all employees dumbfounded. They say you can raise your questions but your laptop dies instantly so physically shutting you up. They say their ex team (yes it's a thing in Forrester) will answer your questions but your emails never get a reply. They say "the company is supporting each individual with severance and career placement services" which turns out to be stingy compensation and some 20 page slide on career counseling and coaching - wow that is exactly what I need, to call a third party so that I can cry about Forrester's decency. They say they are "customer obsessed", but they don't care about all the clients who are losing contact of consultants, and all the projects that are going half way but now closing up abruptly in a mess. For the laid off employees, the company has set an automatic email reply to clients that simply says "I'm no longer with Forrester", who isn't appalled by this kind of tone? I should sue the company for making me leave such an irresponsible impression. As if I were some rude maniac that ran away from my position and poor Forrester, has no wrongdoing but is kind enough to deal with all the mess - I'm not the one who's unprofessional and insulting, Forrester is. I have never seen a more arrogant employer. Forrester does not care about its engagement delivery, customer experience, nor its own reputation. Yet such a company that is unable to plan a proper strategy and deal with its own poor performance, such that they can do nothing but to shout out "we are confident" while kicking people off the boat, is teaching its clients how to be "future fit". Is this supposed to be a joke?? Yes I pity the clients that are paying to learn from such a brand that wouldn't survive another 5 years.

Pros

Forrester is a truly rewarding place to work. I feel like I make a meaningful difference every day, both for our clients and within the organization. The colleagues here are exceptional. They are smart, collaborative, and genuinely supportive. I’m constantly learning from a talented group of people who care deeply about the quality of their work and the impact it has. The culture encourages thoughtful problem-solving, professional growth, and doing work that matters.

Cons

The most challenging aspect right now is the current business performance, which can create uncertainty and added pressure across teams. At times, this environment can impact workloads, decision-making speed, and overall predictability.

Thank you for your many years of contribution to Forrester ! I’m really glad to hear how strongly you feel about your colleagues and the impact of the work. It's wonderful to see the combination of thoughtful problem-solving, collaboration, and meaningful outcomes reflected in your experience. You’re also right to call out the challenges of the current business environment. Periods of change and performance pressure can create uncertainty, and I know that can impact workload, pace, and predictability. I am confident we are on the right path towards growth this year and it wouldnt have been possible without great colleagues like you. Thank you again for your candid feedback, it means a great deal coming from someone with such deep experience at Forrester. Jobina Gonsalves Chief People Officer
