Pros

For the time being the company still has a reputable brand name in the marketplace. Had a great solution / product fit 5 years ago

Cons

Considering they are doing a THIRD round of layoffs in less than 12 months today I'm going to assume there's not too many people getting hired in the short term to read this. Also, if the volumes of negative reviews, abhorrent CEO approval scores, and tanking stock price aren't going to deter you from still taking a job at this place I have nothing for you - best of luck. Instead, my message is to my former colleagues that are still somehow grinding it out at Forrester. What are we doing here people? I worked with a bunch of very talented people - people who deserve so much better than awful pay, quotas that are built based on ludicrous projections instead of grounded in any sort of reality, a product that no one wants nor asked for at a premium price led by possibly the worst and most universally disliked employee in the company, toxic culture - I could go on an on. So why are you sitting here hate reading these reviews? I promise the grass is greener on the other side. Are there problems at any company? Sure! But this is a place with problems at literally every turn. I know a lot of you have been there a long time - 5+ years maybe even more. You're institutionalized at this point and scared of the outside world. Trust me, the first step out of the door is the hardest and then it will be the best thing you ever did. You're wagon is currently attached to a horse with no legs. It ain't getting better in the short term. Why are you allowing yourself to be continually punished by the utter incompetence of this 'leadership team'. Half the people in senior management roles were simply promoted due to someone else being fired or quitting of their own volition - they didn't come from this level of experience. Do they have the skills to run a company, or where they just 'there'? Listen, you're going to do what you're going to do, but I regret sticking around for an extra year and making bad money because I was too lazy to dust off my resume and go through the motions of finding a new job. Don't repeat my mistakes. You're better than this place, and your former colleagues on the outside are here to help if you just ask.

Pros

Forrester is a truly rewarding place to work. I feel like I make a meaningful difference every day, both for our clients and within the organization. The colleagues here are exceptional. They are smart, collaborative, and genuinely supportive. I’m constantly learning from a talented group of people who care deeply about the quality of their work and the impact it has. The culture encourages thoughtful problem-solving, professional growth, and doing work that matters.

Cons

The most challenging aspect right now is the current business performance, which can create uncertainty and added pressure across teams. At times, this environment can impact workloads, decision-making speed, and overall predictability.

Thank you for your many years of contribution to Forrester ! I’m really glad to hear how strongly you feel about your colleagues and the impact of the work. It's wonderful to see the combination of thoughtful problem-solving, collaboration, and meaningful outcomes reflected in your experience. You’re also right to call out the challenges of the current business environment. Periods of change and performance pressure can create uncertainty, and I know that can impact workload, pace, and predictability. I am confident we are on the right path towards growth this year and it wouldnt have been possible without great colleagues like you. Thank you again for your candid feedback, it means a great deal coming from someone with such deep experience at Forrester. Jobina Gonsalves Chief People Officer
