Pros
Excellent coworkers Fun job Great curriculum Fantastic (and clean!!) facility Good pay for a part-time position with incentives to sub and work weekends Overall, I would recommend this job to a young, physically fit person looking for a part-time gig to supplement their income.
Cons
The head manager I had would brag about how he was "not a manager/not a good manager," and rather than learn how to do better, he took pride in his shortcomings. He has since been replaced since I left, so many of my issues may be resolved. The current head of the school was in training when I was still there, and she seemed much more competent. This job is tough on the body. Expect to lose some muscle from floating in the pool for hours. Bathroom breaks were hard to come by, but I know the new manager was working on that when I left, so it may not be an issue now. Finally, there isn't much chance of a swim instructor making a career out of this job. Once you get to shift coordinator, that's essentially the limit of upward mobility at the Fargo location. However, this is more neutral than a con since if a person is only looking for a part-time gig, this is not a big deal.
