Pros

Free training and licensing to be a Personal lines Insurance Agent. Access to multiple lines of support ranging from you direct mgr (Coach), Help lines and two different chat options. Good training programs for advancement within the company.

Cons

Compensation is fair to start, but as you go and gain more responsibility you pay does not increase with the lines of business that you are expected to handle. After 3 years of working with the company ppl with 6 months in the company working only Auto , Renters and VPP were make the same as I was with HO added to it, Then I was added to Third party Help Line again with no additional pay top go with the added responsibility. I did look to become a (Coach) to have agents working under me with me there to help them to become better agents. Again this position was offered with a salaried position which would have lead to a lower overall pay when considering the workload and time necessary to do the job properly. Due to the pay not being to my liking for the position, I turned down that position and went back to the phones. After 5 years in the company I have only received 2 annual pay increases one of which was swallowed up by a company wide pay adjustment which essentially devalued the time I had put in.

Pros

Some level of job security. You know exactly what you're doing because it's a call center. Different client projects that you could apply to be part of. Located in Orem by the mall. Decent pay ($25 an hour... for now).

Cons

You can't have anything on the call floor depending on the client (I support Intuit, so there are no phones, paper, pencils, books... nothing). The benefits are atrocious. PTO doesn't start until after 6 months. Company politics and favorites exist here. I'd say about 30% of calls get transferred to us from other departments (Payroll, Payments, Desktop, Saves, Sales, pretty much everyone) that should not have been transferred and could have been solved without us. They're going to hire more account resolution specialists soon after so many agents left, and they're starting their pay at $20 an hour.... so just think about what means for us. You get one occurrence per day you are absent even if you call in sick. I think 10 is the limit.
