Pros

No weekend hours. Incredibly cheap gym membership to a HUGE gym that is 200 feet from where I work. Can go there at lunch, after work, etc. It's awesome. I can go a whole day without someone micromanaging me, which is nice. Awesome coworkers who are around my age, making it easy to relate and have a good time. Great office environment with music, snacks; tons of break rooms with refrigerators, vending machines, and the like.

Cons

Management has a permanent stick up the ass. Very rude and no sense of humor - incredibly tense Bad pay. No hourly employees I know are making more than/even close to $20 an hour. They have started bringing in temps to avoid paying benefits and to get away with paying miserable wages. Super performance is expected for terrible pay. Dated technology makes daily tasks incredibly tedious and sometimes you can't even do it things at all because it just doesn't work. IT staff seem to be either overworked or incompetent and support tickets are pretty much set and forget. Your issue will be fixed with a week, but no guarantees that the fix won't break something else. When micromanaging does happen, it is the worst. Apart from being nice individuals my managers don't seem to know what they're doing and often have to ask senior employees who have been there longer than them how to do something. Task delegation is expected from supervisor to grunt, but it is often a huge waste of time, interrupting projects to do menial tasks that they can do themselves.

Pros

People were mostly friendly; direct supervisor was great, attentive, willing to help; lots of opportunities for freebies; good discount on jewelry; 10% off Kroger brand groceries; accumulated sick time even as a seasonal employee; extremely amusing posts on company-wide Viva Engage

Cons

Weirdly intense response to using Teams to talk with coworkers about non-work topics; extremely Christian-centric company, did not necessarily feel comfortable there as a non-Christian; could ask questions of leadership in weekly email, but questions were met very defensively, showing no real interest in addressing employee concerns; extreme sticklers for being on time and clocking in and out; no metal allowed, meaning you will have to buy a lot of new clothing; lots of downtime with no real direction on how to fill it; no cell phones allowed (because of metal).
