Pros

Starting Salary and benefits were decent. Since it was a small company there was room to create some new procedures.

Cons

There were no raises. Whatever salary you came in at, you stayed at until you got fired or quit. I was there for 2 years. It was a horrible climate full of backstabbing and instability. My supervisor said many inappropriate and unprofessional things to me in my time there. Unfortunately there was no HR, so there was no place to take complaints. Management was comprised of massive egos and the turnover rate was like nothing else I have ever seen. Working there was the only time that I know of that I was openly discriminated against by a company for my gender. Again, there was no HR advocate for employees so this behavior was allowed. It was an extremely negative experience.

We are glad to see, and agree, with the feedback that we have great salaries and benefits at FreedomPay. However, the comment that there are no raises just isn’t true. Quite the opposite, here at FreedomPay we recognize the hard work and dedication of our employees and frequently reward them for their efforts. Another exciting part of working at FreedomPay and mentioned above is the “start-up” mentality that allows for all our employees to contribute new ideas and innovative ways to grow the business. It’s also important to note that FreedomPay has strict policies and guidelines regarding workplace harassment and business code of conduct. As a company experiencing rapid growth and moving very quickly, we recognize that we are not perfect. And while these comments are clearly not reflective of our current environment, we are always striving for improvements and taking real action to be better every day. In fact, in 2017 alone, we have hired our first HR leader, moved into a brand-new state of the art workplace in Philadelphia, and have a company-wide quality commissions bonus plan.

Pros

One of the biggest advantages of working at FreedomPay is the opportunity for career growth. Over the years, I've been promoted multiple times, which speaks to how FreedomPay recognizes and rewards strong performance. It's a fast paced and dynamic environment, where pivots are often necessary. It means work is exciting and ensures you're always learning. The people here are hardworking, committed and deeply collaborative, making FreedomPay a motivating place to build a career.

Cons

The flip side of opportunity is that they have to be earned. This isn't a place where promotions happen because you've been here the longest; FreedomPay is genuinely a meritocracy. It may not be the right fit for someone looking for a slow pace with a lot of downtime.

Pros

My team was great, I loved my direct manger and director. I knew that they always had my back and they made sure we weren't bogged down with upper management drama. We had a lot of autonomy and freedom to complete work as we saw fit/what worked for us personally. They have a generous mat leave policy- you don't have to be at the company for a certain amount of time before you qualify and good work life balance culture. Good benefits and a quarterly company wide bonus structure that was incentivizing.

Cons

Departments are very siloed, making hard to collaborate. There is no formal review process, which can make it difficult to move up as you have no company measurements to go by.
