Pros

The only positive is that the company is growing, gaining more partners and customers, and I’m sure they will continue to do well financially. They offer quarterly bonuses, but they’ve come in way less than they advertised in interviews.

Cons

The company will bait and switch on you as soon as you accept the position. The pay is on the lower end and there isn’t much room to negotiate. The benefits are crap and the 401k is only 1.5% match, vested after 4 years. It’s one of the worst benefits packages I’ve been offered. Internally the company is SO unorganized. There is no org chart, no one knows who does what and which employees report to who. There is little training in your position and you’re expected to master this incredibly complex company with no information. The departments don’t work fluidly together and it constantly creates confusion. They will promise and promise you promotions and then they disappear unless you threaten to quit. They have hired many staff with the full intention with being remote, and then went back on that - asking us to be hybrid and come into the office. There is really nothing above and beyond that would make freedompay stand out to future employees.

Pros

One of the biggest advantages of working at FreedomPay is the opportunity for career growth. Over the years, I've been promoted multiple times, which speaks to how FreedomPay recognizes and rewards strong performance. It's a fast paced and dynamic environment, where pivots are often necessary. It means work is exciting and ensures you're always learning. The people here are hardworking, committed and deeply collaborative, making FreedomPay a motivating place to build a career.

Cons

The flip side of opportunity is that they have to be earned. This isn't a place where promotions happen because you've been here the longest; FreedomPay is genuinely a meritocracy. It may not be the right fit for someone looking for a slow pace with a lot of downtime.

Pros

My team was great, I loved my direct manger and director. I knew that they always had my back and they made sure we weren't bogged down with upper management drama. We had a lot of autonomy and freedom to complete work as we saw fit/what worked for us personally. They have a generous mat leave policy- you don't have to be at the company for a certain amount of time before you qualify and good work life balance culture. Good benefits and a quarterly company wide bonus structure that was incentivizing.

Cons

Departments are very siloed, making hard to collaborate. There is no formal review process, which can make it difficult to move up as you have no company measurements to go by.
