Pros
Good benefits, nice people, pay is competitive, the hours are flexible with lots of PTO.
Cons
Managed by a central location in Phoenix AZ for all mines which is not able to adapt to market forces fast enough. Difficult and stressful job due to constant understaffing issues in large part caused by the first point. The industry as a whole has been laying off technical professionals that help keep everything going every time there is a decrease the value of copper or Molybdenum which has led to outdated equipment that no-one understands how to fix anymore. This job requires large amounts of self-initiative to be able to figure out what was done in the past to fix it because the people that made it are no longer around. Usually this learning process is under pretty substantial pressure.
