Pros

Awesome opportunity to gain experience leading a team and managing a business, but the the actual workload doesn't make it worth it.

Cons

1. Hours. You are expected to be available and running 24/7. Whether you are in the training portion working the routes with a trainer, in the management stage working the 4 am manager shift or covering your down routes starting at 2 am, it is unbearable. And starting at 4 or 2 am doesn't mean end times of 12 pm. Expect to work 12-14 days on the regular. It is hard to have a family or a significant other and be an active participant in the relationship. I'm talking even being expected to react to customers on the weekend, even if you're in Sunday service or out a party Saturday evening. 2. This company only cares about the shareholders and the CEO, they made atrocious cuts to the frontline staff's pay, I'm talking $25-30k cuts. This cut and all of the changes leading to more work and less work-life balance for the frontline caused a tremendous turnover, resorting to managers covering routes and covering their DSL responsibilities. 3, Angry and unprofessional customers 4. Kiss your bonus goodbye in the event of staffing issues in your zone or the chance of company recognition programs 5. This job could be more professional and there needs to be more emphasis on the development of the DSLs and their skills to prepare them for future career opportunities The company is on this aggressive path of cutting costs to look more profitable such as raising prices, cutting the pay of salesman, cutting/condensing positions and aren't considering people's family lives or financial situations.

Pros

Pay is ok and great benefits.

Cons

No work life balance. Held accountable for more and more and way too much micro managing lately. Routes are uneven some heavy and some baby routes. Routes run 7 days a week while other vendors dont. You work every holiday except Christmas unless a holiday is on your day off. Plus you work every weekend you work unless your one of the lucky ones. And if something happens in your personal life you have to deal with it after working long hours too much of a pain to call in. They love to say you will be held accountable as its almost a threat.
