Pros

As a merchandiser you primarily work alone, and can take your lunch break whenever and wherever you wish. The job itself is easy - just put chips on a shelf, make sure all your displays are filled and rotate the product. You can meet some really interesting and hard-working folks Good benefits, regular schedule, minimal overtime iphone with unlimited business and personal use

Cons

You don't get paid the hourly rate while driving between stores. You will need to drive your own car - tracking and reporting your mileage, tolls, and hours is overly complex and time-consuming. In locations with lots of snow and road salt, the mileage supplement will not be sufficient to cover repairs and maintenance on your vehicle. You will almost always feel rushed. You will sometimes need to deal with stores that are unhappy about things you have no control over

Pros

Pay is ok and great benefits.

Cons

No work life balance. Held accountable for more and more and way too much micro managing lately. Routes are uneven some heavy and some baby routes. Routes run 7 days a week while other vendors dont. You work every holiday except Christmas unless a holiday is on your day off. Plus you work every weekend you work unless your one of the lucky ones. And if something happens in your personal life you have to deal with it after working long hours too much of a pain to call in. They love to say you will be held accountable as its almost a threat.
