Pros

Strong company culture, consistent company growth, strong company values, opportunities for growth, nice & hard-working people, good pay and benefits

Cons

At Frito-Lay it's not about how well you do things, it's about how many things you do. The pace of work in the field HR function is extremely fast, and does not lull at all during the holidays or vacations. You have asks coming at you from all sides constantly and there is virtually never a time you don't have a 30+ item to do list. I would frequently work an extra 20-30 hours the week before and after a vacation just to get ahead of things and then catch up afterwards. Over multiple years, different roles, and different managers I never had a significant period of time where I was happy with my work/life balance. Unfortunately there is also a churn and burn culture among the HR generalists at the company - while many stay for years, you're expected to take on a new role at a new location every 1-2 years unless you have something holding you back in your personal life. This translates to never feeling settled/comfortable in your role and having to constantly be making new relationships. Also it means that your manager will change regularly, so it's tough to get settled in with a boss who can develop you over time. Ultimately you can learn a lot about HR at this company and do important work, but you will do that at the expense of your personal life and personal balance.
