Pros
While you are working at the company, the benefits seem to be great. Good retirement, good health coverage, decent pay I enjoyed my coworkers but again, you are working alone everyday so you don't see them often. Customers were all great once I got my own route but Frito just keeps adding stores to the routes and making them bigger and bigger which means longer hours.
Cons
I have never disliked a company more than I did with Frito Lay. The hours are terrible, you are working 10 days straight at times without a day off in between and you don't get overtime because they have figured out that loophole. They wrote me a letter after I was finished working there and told me they overpaid me so I had to write them a check even though it was their mistake (Which happened often). Yes the retirement benefits are good but if you don't stay long enough, you won't be able to keep your full earnings. They nickel and dime their employees and treat them poorly. Turnover is VERY HIGH at Frito. The trucks they have people driving are terrible. Not well-maintained and they are driven until they cannot be driven anymore. Vacation is VERY DIFFICULT to take. You get 2 weeks and don't get a 3rd week until you're there for 5 years. Honestly, not worth it. I would not recommend Frito Lay to anyone.
