Cons
Management could be way better. You basically work alone for the most part. In smaller stores that isn’t a problem but in bigger ones like Walmart and Heb it can be overwhelming merchandising an entire store by yourself with customers all down the aisle.. If you are a secondary css you pretty much dont know what you are walking into from day to day, and management will not let you know about any changes happening or extra deliveries being dropped off until its already in the store and you have to reach out to them. It will push your entire day and time schedule back completely. No work life balance whatsoever. If you call in they take away one of your vacation days (houston south zone) which makes absolutely no sense because emergencies do happen. In order to receive holiday pay you have to work 2 straight weeks no call ins. Otherwise holiday pay is forfeited instead of just getting credit for the holiday worked. Apparently this is only a rule in this zone.
