Pros
Management in the Arlington Heights location is really easy going and very cool, they give you the assignments at the beginning of the shift and then basically leave you alone to work. You can take home chips that are being thrown away ... believe me the chips you can take home are perfectly fine .. the outter boxes were somehow damaged but the bags are intact and good for months. Weekly pay is great, and if you manage to survive the physical work then the insurance and benefits seem great
Cons
No formal training of any kind. First day you watch 3/4 hours of videos, and then your first actual work day, you are assigned to go with a co-worker and that's it. You don't even get told thru which door you are suppose to come in and out of. No instructions on breaks, lunches, or go home times. I was placed with a know it all employee who had only been there 3 months ... One must punch out and in on breaks and lunches which is fine, but super confusing system and was only properly explained once how to do it. No proper structure of how the work is suppose to be done. The turnover rate is astronomical at the Arlington Heights location, in the 2 weeks I was there 4 people quit making everyone job even harder. Was briefly told that it was a union job, but that's it ... no information was given, when i asked I was told after 90 days they would discuss that with me.
