Pros

The people. We are like a big family (although dysfunctional at times!). The pilot and FA groups have an amazing working relationship. We have each other's backs. Flexibility, especially once you have some seniority. We are in the process of becoming an ULCC. This should be the start of something big! We are the little airline that could and we could soon be a big player in the market.

Cons

Because we are in the process of becoming an ULCC, you need to be able to adapt to sometimes rapid change. You need to keep smiling, even though you may not understand or agree with the changes that occur.

I want to begin by expressing my disappointment with the union’s representation of its members. There is a significant lack of transparency and consistent communication, leaving many employees feeling uninformed and disconnected from the bargaining process. From my perspective, aircraft mechanics working under this contract are compensated well below the industry standard despite the critical role we play in maintaining safety and operational reliability. It often feels as though these concerns are not being adequately addressed or prioritized. Unfortunately, the current environment has made this airline feel more like a temporary stepping stone than a place where skilled mechanics can build long-term careers. Until meaningful improvements are made to compensation, communication, and representation, I believe retaining experienced technicians will continue to be a challenge.
