Pros

work life balance was great after you are a line holder. You can choose to travel as much or as less as you want. You have a few bases to choose from after your probationary period end. You can work as much hours you want as long as you are "legal" for the trips. Pay can be very profitable if you are continuously working and putting in the time.

Cons

Very Cliquish and toxic working atmosphere. There are repeated trips to the same destinations. There is a huge younger demographic that they hire. Employees are very vindictive and conniving. Some team members are passive aggressive and will try to gaslight you including management. Inflight management loves to pay FAs to bring back international prescription drugs and/or you almost get talked about behind your back to other FAs. Beware the inflight management team is not advocate for you unless you are going to be their pawns. who knows you may be the next person retrieving their next prescription drugs. Their aircrafts are poorly maintained. Good luck with catering and supplies. Unnecessary wasteful marketing strategies. Most Crew schedulers pressure, test, and try to take advantage of new hires on reserve. Always Always Always Document your encounters with everyone!

Pros

It pays “some” of my bills.

Cons

I want to begin by expressing my disappointment with the union’s representation of its members. There is a significant lack of transparency and consistent communication, leaving many employees feeling uninformed and disconnected from the bargaining process. From my perspective, aircraft mechanics working under this contract are compensated well below the industry standard despite the critical role we play in maintaining safety and operational reliability. It often feels as though these concerns are not being adequately addressed or prioritized. Unfortunately, the current environment has made this airline feel more like a temporary stepping stone than a place where skilled mechanics can build long-term careers. Until meaningful improvements are made to compensation, communication, and representation, I believe retaining experienced technicians will continue to be a challenge.
