Pros

The training is nice because the instructors are wonderful. Most of the FA'S are friendly and easy to get along with. The flight benefits are nice as well.

Cons

Crew scheduling is horrific - they certainly partake in favoritism meaning that certain people on reserve are constantly flying while others are ALWAYS being called to sit ready reserve shifts at the airport up to 8 hours. There is no work and life balance while you're on reserve because it's 24 hour reserve so you never can feel at ease and as if you have an actual life. Crew scheduling is very unprofessional in how they assign trips and ready reserve to FA'S. The health insurance is very costly and not that great at all to begin with. We have to clean the planes even though the company is making an incredible amount of money because they are too greedy to hire cleaners so we end up being the cleaners even though we don't get compensated for it. It seems as if Frontier is desperate to turn this airline into the next Spirit Airlines making it ultra low cost. I feel as if they treat the employees, especially the reserves, in a very low and degrading manner. FA'S are bitter and there is no unity of the various company bases. FA'S can just trade bases monthly just in order to get a line (a schedule) so that you're not on the crappy reserve ode here. Very disappointing and discouraging to say the least. Not at all what I expected.

Pros

It pays “some” of my bills.

Cons

I want to begin by expressing my disappointment with the union’s representation of its members. There is a significant lack of transparency and consistent communication, leaving many employees feeling uninformed and disconnected from the bargaining process. From my perspective, aircraft mechanics working under this contract are compensated well below the industry standard despite the critical role we play in maintaining safety and operational reliability. It often feels as though these concerns are not being adequately addressed or prioritized. Unfortunately, the current environment has made this airline feel more like a temporary stepping stone than a place where skilled mechanics can build long-term careers. Until meaningful improvements are made to compensation, communication, and representation, I believe retaining experienced technicians will continue to be a challenge.
