Pros
training is intense but most instructors were great. Meet great people. They pay for lodging during training. Hotel's are nice on layovers.
Cons
Favoritism was my ultimate complaint. Some people were highly favored and got away with so many things. For example one person overslept and was late to class which was immediate termination but for this person who made up an excuse, they were offered a spot in the next training class and is now flying and a huge headache. Some people are reprimanded and used as examples while others are let go with a warning. Management doesn't really know what they are doing because rules change every day. FA's sleep in the jumpseat or lavatories when they should be helping with service or working. Training center is located in the middle of nowhere so there are only a couple of places to eat. we took an uber to walmart on the weekend to stock up on food for our rooms. Tons of gossip. Pay is $19 and some change starting but on reserve expect your check to be no more than $700. I once received a check for $447 after uniform and monthly dues came out. Passengers are rude which in turn makes the FA rude - it is an unhealthy environment which is why there is such a high turnover rate just like Spirit. My advice to anyone serious about being an FA - just apply and wait for a major carrier. With the time and money you spend on training with small carriers and all the sacrifices you have to make in order to get through training it just isn't worth it. I left before I hated the position
