Pros
Really great coworkers. Alright benefits.
Cons
Upper management does not care for their employees, just the tax break GAF gets for getting more people back in the office full time. For a company that once had perks for all employees (people who work long hours, show loyalty, and bend over backwards each and every day for the customer), employee morale has been gone into the gutter. New CEO John Altmeyer and his team have, in mere months, taken away and drastically altered even the smallest perks we once had, leaving a trail of disillusioned and upset employees. Half of the company is remote. Saving money on gas, childcare, daily cost of living, etc, while the rest of us are told to get back into the office at some point this year full time. Our cost of living is much higher than those remote with no higher salary. In the SAME company. Don’t let some of these other reviews fool you, there is NO flexibility when it comes to remote days. It’s actually worse than when I started near 10 years ago. Your child is sick? Use a vacation day. You have a repair person coming to the house that you can easily work still? Must use a vacation day. Zero flexibility and quickly going back to the Stone Age. Very rarely do we actually have an in-person meeting that requires coming to the office. Good luck finding new talent.
