Pros
It's a great place to get experience, both technical and general business. It's small enough for people to take initiative and assume responsibility. The colleagues and work culture are great. I've worked in many environments, and the coworkers at GAINSystems are fantastic! Also, when people had personal troubles, management was supportive. Customers are generally positive and engaged.
Cons
We spend a lot of time working on custom configurations/enhancements. Everything's constantly evolving in response to today's customer requests. I've developed experience in multiple business and technical areas here, which is good. But those skills were required to support user expectations of a constantly evolving product. Supporting those customer expectations can be stressful. Management and a few employees have been here for a long time. But I don't see an obvious career path for me.
