Pros

One of the best companies to work for in the Central Valley in terms of perks and opportunities. Rotational programs for undergraduate and MBA hires are great to get business exposure and learn different segments of the business. The family that is in top management are humble and have earned their roles through hard worth starting at the bottom.

Cons

Growth opportunities are mostly provided to those whom are considered favorites, and are very limited. The company continuously adds layers between senior analysts/accountants and management roles making it merely impossible for employees to ever become managers. Work life balance is difficult in a lot of roles there’s high expectations to deliver. The company breeds a very competitive environment where employees find themselves consistently over-performing and rotating out of a role too quickly. Rotations happen too often and people don’t stay in a role long enough to actually drive sustainability or anything that’s long-term value added to the role. Company only focuses on high performers and not much is done to understand why some employees are low performers nor how they can leverage on their skill sets to help them grow. Not much diversity or inclusion. Most mid to top management predominately white males.

Pros

Gallo has extremely talented people and incredible products. I’ve found real opportunities to learn, grow, and make an impact.

Cons

Fast pace at times, with occasional shifting priorities. Very few downsides overall.

Pros

* Historically, a company people were genuinely proud to work for—strong culture, clear values, and a sense of loyalty *I could have seen myself building a long-term career here and often spoke highly of the company to others *Strong early-career development and brand recognition

Cons

*Erosion of trust driven by abrupt, poorly communicated decisions *5-day in-office mandate for some offices rolled out with ~2 months notice, removing autonomy employees previously had, adding unnecessary strain to already demanding roles, and significantly disrupting employees’ day-to-day lives *Parental leave benefits were significantly reduced in a way that feels misaligned with the culture and “family-owned” values the company has historically emphasized. This change has been a meaningful source of frustration and disappointment for many employees *Poor communication on major changes—including benefits and office policy updates, which were not consistently or transparently shared *Employee feedback does not appear to be meaningfully incorporated into decision-making, even when concerns are raised through formal channels * The culture has shifted dramatically. What used to feel fun and energizing now feels rigid and overly monitored, with less trust and autonomy than before *As a result, the company risks losing strong, previously loyal employees and becoming less competitive in attracting new talent
