Pros

1. Coworkers: Plenty of coworkers who are great, and can develop into long term relationships. 2. Experience: Plenty of work all around to help you develop skills and gain experience. Can also be a con though.

Cons

1. Work life balance: Due to the top down culture and the overwhelming amount of responsibility’s on some teams, there is a detrimental impact on work-life balance. Executive leadership is not effective in properly balancing workload/requests which then has an impact on the lower levels of the company. 2. Pay: At a time where there are remote opportunities and more and more companies are taking a hybrid approach, Gallo has to compete with companies from all over, yet still offer central valley pay equivalent and have not kept up with that of competition. 3. Diversity: Gallo is diverse at the lower levels. However, the higher up in the ladder you go, the less diverse it gets. Diversity at the top does not appear to reflect that of the bottom, or that of the geographical area in which Gallo operates. 4. Development: Employee development is not spread equally. A portion of the employees seem to be left behind, the company does not do a good job at helping them to understand where their shortcomings might be and making an effort to aid them in improvement.

Pros

Gallo has extremely talented people and incredible products. I’ve found real opportunities to learn, grow, and make an impact.

Cons

Fast pace at times, with occasional shifting priorities. Very few downsides overall.

Pros

* Historically, a company people were genuinely proud to work for—strong culture, clear values, and a sense of loyalty *I could have seen myself building a long-term career here and often spoke highly of the company to others *Strong early-career development and brand recognition

Cons

*Erosion of trust driven by abrupt, poorly communicated decisions *5-day in-office mandate for some offices rolled out with ~2 months notice, removing autonomy employees previously had, adding unnecessary strain to already demanding roles, and significantly disrupting employees’ day-to-day lives *Parental leave benefits were significantly reduced in a way that feels misaligned with the culture and “family-owned” values the company has historically emphasized. This change has been a meaningful source of frustration and disappointment for many employees *Poor communication on major changes—including benefits and office policy updates, which were not consistently or transparently shared *Employee feedback does not appear to be meaningfully incorporated into decision-making, even when concerns are raised through formal channels * The culture has shifted dramatically. What used to feel fun and energizing now feels rigid and overly monitored, with less trust and autonomy than before *As a result, the company risks losing strong, previously loyal employees and becoming less competitive in attracting new talent
