Pros

Because Gallo is family owned we are afforded many opportunities not readily available to publically traded companies. Such benefits are that employees across every functional area can enjoy employment longevity and highly stable careers. We experience very little turnover, even during economic recession, and have more flexibility in our budgeting decisions to reduce the need for layoffs. There are many ways to grow your career, before looking externally Gallo will make every attempt to promote from within. There are also plenty of chances to work cross functionally to explore other departments and even go International. Employees also have greater trust in the leaders of the organization and the decisions they make. The cultural belief at Gallo is every employee should be treated as though they were a member of the family, regardless of their last name.

Cons

Work life balance is promoted but isn't a reality for everyone. I believe part of the problem is many processes are outdated throughout different departments and people are forced to work harder versus smarter. We are going through a period of growth and hopefully the onboarding will lead to streamlined processes. I view this as a selling point for those who want to build and put their mark on something impactful.

Pros

Gallo has extremely talented people and incredible products. I’ve found real opportunities to learn, grow, and make an impact.

Cons

Fast pace at times, with occasional shifting priorities. Very few downsides overall.

Pros

* Historically, a company people were genuinely proud to work for—strong culture, clear values, and a sense of loyalty *I could have seen myself building a long-term career here and often spoke highly of the company to others *Strong early-career development and brand recognition

Cons

*Erosion of trust driven by abrupt, poorly communicated decisions *5-day in-office mandate for some offices rolled out with ~2 months notice, removing autonomy employees previously had, adding unnecessary strain to already demanding roles, and significantly disrupting employees’ day-to-day lives *Parental leave benefits were significantly reduced in a way that feels misaligned with the culture and “family-owned” values the company has historically emphasized. This change has been a meaningful source of frustration and disappointment for many employees *Poor communication on major changes—including benefits and office policy updates, which were not consistently or transparently shared *Employee feedback does not appear to be meaningfully incorporated into decision-making, even when concerns are raised through formal channels * The culture has shifted dramatically. What used to feel fun and energizing now feels rigid and overly monitored, with less trust and autonomy than before *As a result, the company risks losing strong, previously loyal employees and becoming less competitive in attracting new talent
