Pros

The people you work with are top notch and the subject is very satisfying on all levels. The flexibility in work schedule is one of the few pluses, but a good one.

Cons

GE is finding every way to cut corners that they possibly can and the new target is the employees. They have become so ferocious in their attack on employees (salary freezes, layoffs, reduction in benefits, overall condescending tone, ...), it is almost too much to bear. The most confusing part is how management still manages to avoid salary freezes, and reduction in benefits. While they participate in the same insurance scam... I mean plan, the percent of max out-of-pocket to income is skewed in their favor. And while all this is going on, they reward themselves with bonuses for saving money.
