Pros

Local managers were great.

Cons

Worse experience ever with H.R. during hiring process. You are told you have to be able to travel for 3 months. What they don't tell you is they put you through a training process that is absolutely ridiculous. If you don't keep an 85 percent you get fired. Over a 3rd of our class failed. You go through 8-5 classes and then have to study 3-5 hours every night to try to pass. This wasn't just me this was everyone in the training class. The trainers talk down to you and treat you like dirt. The worse part is the training is over the top with a bunch of things you will never need to do the job. There is a reason they are always hiring. They also pay very poorly and put you in horrible hotels.

Pros

GEICO is one of the largest employers in my smaller town, so I've heard all the good, the bad, and the ugly. What a pleasant surprise it's been working here! There is so much intentional change to create a great employee experience and get the right team leaders in place. Highly recommend not putting too much weight into older negative comments if you're thinking about applying. I've been very happy with my salary, the benefits/time off, culture, and leadership (both locally and senior leaders). I feel like there's a lot of room to continue to grow my career here and I see the same opportunities for others.

Cons

Really nothing major that I can think of!

Pros

Strong opportunities for career growth Many people are willing to mentor and support others without expecting anything in return Supportive culture, even from people who may not know you personally Increased focus on education and development, especially for leaders More company activities at the local office, which has been a welcome change Fun associate engagement opportunities like escape rooms, art activities, games, and food events So many opportunities for recognition

Cons

There are still some areas where the company appears to be rebuilding trust and confidence Change is noticeable and appreciated, but some improvements are still in progress Feedback has clearly helped shape recent changes, and it will be good to see that progress continue
