Pros

Decent Benefits Package. And that’s all. Discounts on rental. Sports tickets. etc.

Cons

There are no opportunities to promote in the Macon office. When they tell you there are opportunities, they are lying through their a**. The best way to promote is to get a job in another region. Which will require you to move out of state. If the entire department becomes good at their job and meet their goals, The company will take a dump on you and raise their requirements. Which means , you will be doing more work, and you won’t get compensated for it. On the topic of a compensation , Geico is the lowest paying employer for insurance adjusters and agents. So you can go to a competitor and make way more money. The annual raises are 3%, and remember they require you to do extra work, but the 3% is barely enough to get gas. Management is incompetent. Many of the supervisors are incompetent. They are not educated. They want you to take calls non stop. and get up set when you need to make notes. The Working schedules require you to work on weekends. Again if you have this opportunity don’t take it.

Pros

Decent pay and remote work.

Cons

Poor management at all levels, and high turnover in the IT department. Profit sharing was initially offered when I started in 2013 but disappeared after covid. Management laid off most of the IT staff that had the technical and insurance knowledge in favor of bringing in new staff to transition GEICO into a tech company. Not sure what the status of the IT department is in 2026.
