Pros

Great benefits Decent pay People always willing to help. Great company culture. GEICO was a great place to work over all I found the metric very hard to meet and after being told several times that although my customer service was great that if I didn’t improve specifically in prod which for GEICO is the hardest to meet as a new hire I would be fired. With that in mind I found a job with less stress, higher pay, somewhere else..n

Cons

Metrics can be very hard to meet and no matter how great you are at customer service, if your not getting your numbers over a rolling three months you may be let go. Customers can be jerks, but it comes with the job. Many frustrated employees because they work hard but it seems their job is on the line if they have a bad month. Very hard to move up, very competitive. Very hard to get a different shift once you’ve picked.

Pros

Decent pay and remote work.

Cons

Poor management at all levels, and high turnover in the IT department. Profit sharing was initially offered when I started in 2013 but disappeared after covid. Management laid off most of the IT staff that had the technical and insurance knowledge in favor of bringing in new staff to transition GEICO into a tech company. Not sure what the status of the IT department is in 2026.
