Pros
It started great, if a bit disorganized. I was excited to work at the biggest newspaper in the island and eager to learn, which worked for a year or so. Diverse work culture, a few perks and there was a sense that you could build a career.
Cons
After a while, it became obvious that favoritism trumped talent. Some employees seemed enthroned in their stations and treated the rest like minions. Work became repetitive and unchallenging and any talk of trying new things was perceived as mutiny. I quickly learned that there was no real sense of direction or leadership. The bullying is rampant and encouraged by management, even spurred by them. Everyone is looked at as an enemy or a boss' pet. There's no middle ground and no one to talk to about this.
