Pros

Work from home prior to covid was two days, so it helped with work life balance. Access to new vehicles. Especially if you're a car person. You're a company that has a name that is recognizable.

Cons

Management had no clue of how to relate to employees. Diversity is extremely scarce, the company did a good job of wearing a elaborate facade in this regard. Employees were grossly underpaid compared to the rest of the industry. Management pressured employees into aggressive tactics with dealers and then when higher ups caught wind of it, employees had to pay the penance. By way of write ups or losing their job. There has also been a rash of tenured employees quitting because of the pressure and lack of pay. Lack of diversity is very alarming.

Pros

I'm a senior-level software engineer, previously worked at tech companies, and this job is relatively easy for me. No on-call, work-life balance is good. I usually get everything done within 2-week sprints.

Cons

GMF is the true definition of work hard, not smart. There are so many dumb engineers. There was a time I had to work with non-technical teams like prod support, and it was quite frustrating. They wanted my team to build an automation so they didn't have to work manually as if anything is possible and there is no limitation within the company. I didn't even create a backlog item as it was a waste of time.
