Pros

- From day one it is clear that the culture at this office is incomparable. Management has interest in all employees and does an exceptional job at giving you opportunities to dive deeper into what you are interested. Everyone is willing to teach you even if he or she is out of your discipline. I learned so much from mechanical, structural, etc. even though it was not my field of study. -Overall, this was an office that I felt invested in as an intern. The tasks I was given were beyond what I anticipated as an intern and I often felt that I was not just an intern out of school. -Management was very intentional about transparency with the company. Goals, future plans, and growth were communicated to the company to make it feel like a team effort.

Cons

-Location wise, Holland is not an ideal location for a 20 something living on their own for the first time (speaking from experience and preference only).

Pros

My first day I was told "you can work whenever and wherever you want," and that has been true. GMB highly values its teammates and there is a high degree of trust. You can forge your own path which is wonderful. Great compensation as well.

Cons

Being so flexible, there is no official hierarchy, which leads to disorganization and stagnancy. I also sense so great a buy-in to "this is my schedule how I would like it" that it can be challenging to rely on certain teammates to show up when you need them and put in the same level of effort. Not a great spot for those who are looking to climb any sort of traditional ladder.
